We don’t care where you’ve been – just where you’re going. Our internship scheme is open to anyone over 18 years of age.

Career Management and development while you are here
Our internship scheme is designed to develop and nurture talent and we will support you every step of the way.

As part of your internship you will attend 5 training days with 3 workshops focused specifically on career management and employability skills as well as presentation skills, effective conversations workshop and action learning sets.

It will put you in a great position to get started if you’re considering a career in the charity sector.  We will help you apply for positions with us when they come up and your time with us will give your application a real boost.

The finer details…
Our Summer internship will run 3 days per week within normal office hours (9 – 5). We have multiple opportunities across Macmillan. Whilst the majority are based in London, we also have some exciting placements in Shipley and Brighton.

Please note the events management roles are home/mobile based and will require travel around the region, so therefore a car and driving license is essential.

Regional Interview dates

For the Brighton Monitoring and Evaluation intern role, interviews will be held on Thursday 16th May at the Brighton Horizon Centre.

For the Shipley Safeguarding and Welfare intern role, interviews will be held on Friday 17th May at Shipley, West Yorkshire.

The Northamptonshire Events Management role will be held within the local area W/C Monday 13th May

The Staffordshire Events Management role will be held within the local area W/C Monday 13th May

The Swansea Events Management role will be held within the local area on Thursday 16th May (please note there is a separate advert and application for the Swansea internship)
