Are you an experienced Video Manager ready to use your leadership and creativity to make a difference to thousands of people affected by cancer? Are you ready to manage a small team, overseeing the production of outstanding video and support internal clients to commission great content?

Working with one of the UK’s top charity brands makes for a highly rewarding role. An expert in your field, you’ll meet the challenge head on – working with external suppliers to produce video content that makes an impact on audiences and gets people talking. You’ll use your understanding of factual film making and creating safe spaces for contributors to discuss sensitive issues to further Macmillan’s work with under-served and under-represented communities.

Developing close working relationships with stakeholders and clients, you'll ensure they are equipped to research, commission and deliver engaging content. You'll promote the expertise of both yourself and your team, ensuring involvement in all Macmillan video projects, advising and guiding their delivery in a collaborative manner. You’ll know what works across different social platforms, how to work sensitively with contributors and our legal obligations with GDPR and contracting.

Within an ever changing digital environment, you'll make sure we are dynamic and adaptable in how we reach people across multiple platforms.  You will manage our relationships with external agencies, helping them to deliver compelling creative and acting as a bridge of support and expertise between them and our Macmillan colleagues. You'll ensure all content promotes our well-loved, sector leading brand and that video plays a core role in communications to all our audiences.

You’ll be overseeing the operations of our video function and so demonstrable experience of implementing workflows is essential as well as experience using platforms and systems to track video briefs, store our content logically and to collect data and insights. Hands-on experience of the full production cycle is essential, as well as a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Premiere Pro and After Effects), MS Office and project management programmes. Line management experience is essential.

You will be part of a highly-driven content department within Macmillan. We commit to actively developing you and our benefits include life assurance, pension, generous leave, and interest free loans for season tickets and gym membership.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
  • Pension matched up to 7.5%
  • 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
  • Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
  • Holiday buying and selling scheme, life insurance, free wills, retail discounts and much more
