About the role
This role brings together the systems, structures and support that enable our teams to deliver effectively. The Technology Enablement Principal is the "Operating System" for the Digital & Technology organisation. This role serves as the horizontal "Glue" integrating the specialised domains of Product, Data/AI, Security, and Strategy into a unified, high-velocity machine. While the Director of Product and Director of Strategy, Architecture & Engineering co-own delivery outcomes, this role provides the portfolio orchestration and governance, Value Management (VMO), and Agile Delivery Capabilities that underpin their success.
Key areas of responsibility – full details are in the attached role profile:
- Office of the Chief Technology & Data Officer & Strategic Orchestration
- Lean Portfolio Management and value realisation
- Agile Delivery Enablement
- Performance Architecture (The Balanced Scorecard)
- Key Interfaces & Boundaries
About you:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience operating at senior level within Digital/Technology, including strategic orchestration across multiple domains, enabling effective executive decision-making, and establishing a disciplined delivery cadence across an integrated portfolio.
- Demonstrable capability to define and evolve target operating models, governance forums and RACI/decision rights, creating clarity across Product, Engineering, Data and Security to reduce friction and increase delivery velocity.
- Experience designing and running performance frameworks (OKRs/KPIs and flow metrics) that enable management-by-exception, drive focus on outcomes, and support executive decision-making.
- Strong delivery leadership and enablement experience, including leading agile delivery teams, coaching leaders and teams in scaled agile ways of working, and embedding consistent execution standards, tooling and transparency.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Portfolio Management (or equivalent), prioritisation frameworks (e.g., capacity/constraints, cost of delay), and macro-capacity planning across an integrated portfolio.
- Proven track record establishing value management and benefits realisation approaches (working closely with Finance), translating strategy into measurable outcomes, and providing transparent performance reporting for executives.
This role requires the successful candidate to be available for an immediate start date.
