About the role

At Macmillan, we invest in healthcare projects to improve the wider healthcare system. We currently back around 15 UK-wide projects, with successful sites repaying us so we can reinvest the funds to help even more people with cancer.

As our System Investment Data Analyst, you'll deliver critical analytics and insights that directly improve outcomes for people with cancer. You'll deep-dive into our diverse portfolio, identifying key trends and impact opportunities. This includes working with external data/finance teams on compliance, financial processing and developing data visualisations. Beyond analysis, you'll champion a learning culture, sharing best practice across our Communities & System Partnership division and wider network.

What you can expect:

  • Data Analysis: deep diving into data (Excel / PowerBI) to identify trends and analyse KPI data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic thinking: using data and insight to guide our future portfolio and prioritise those who need our help most.
  • Knowledge Sharing: sharing insights and learning across our 150-strong division, wider Macmillan, and externally via blogs, webinars, and conferences.
  • Financial Operations: Connect with external finance teams to ensure smooth payment processing, including invoice management, financial forecasting, and outcome invoicing.

About you:

  • Curious about data with strong numerical aptitude.
  • Creative, analytical problem-solver, addressing challenges at operational and system levels.
  • Experienced in visualising data/insight (PowerBI experience welcome but not essential, as willingness to learn is valued).
      • Confident developing and applying financial forecast models.

This is an exciting time to join our small, highly collaborative team as we expand our portfolio across the UK, working across Macmillan to deliver our vision.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
  • Pension matched up to 7.5%
  • 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
  • Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
  • Holiday buying and selling scheme, life insurance, free wills, retail discounts and much more
