Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.
Our new organisational strategy sets out how we’ll fight even harder to make every pound raised count for even more. With your help, we’ll transform cancer care for good.
About the role
Would you like to play a crucial role in enabling the delivery of our new organisational strategy? We’re looking for someone to work across our Engagement directorate and beyond to lead cross-team projects and forums, coordinating and optimising plans, processes, resources and progress to achieve our strategic objectives. This includes working across our Building Public Support objective, which aims to inspire millions of people to fundraise, volunteer and campaign for us.
In this role, you will:
· Lead the development and delivery of cross-directorate projects and forums, developing actionable plans to deliver our strategic objectives.
· Develop activity roadmaps and priorities to meet project goals, monitoring progress and ensuring work stays on track.
· Manage and collaborate with stakeholders across the directorate and wider organisation, including senior stakeholders at Director/Executive Director level, to drive progress against our strategic objectives.
· Share learnings and knowledge across project teams and provide effective communication and updates to leadership.
· Work collaboratively to identify, assess, and prioritise cross-directorate or strategic level dependencies.
· Manage directorate operational planning forums and support the risk management process, acting as a lead for the Engagement directorate.
· Collaborate with teams across Macmillan to address any risks or operational issues which are impacting the delivery of strategic plans.
· Work with stakeholders to identify and improve inefficiencies in existing processes to facilitate better delivery of strategic projects.
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
· Significant experience in a multi-disciplinary planning/project environment, able to plan and prioritise complex activities with competing deadlines.
· Significant experience of managing and interpreting complex performance information and making recommendations to ensure the delivery of strategic plans.
· Evidenced ability to deliver and communicate complex information concisely, tailoring the information and approach for different audiences.
· Ability to bring strategic thought and an external mindset to operational planning and delivery.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and constructively challenge a range of senior stakeholders (including at Director/Executive Director level) in a complex environment.
· Knowledge and experience of collating complex budgets and plans.
· Knowledge of project management tools and processes.
