Senior Partnership Development Manager
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Full time: 34.5 hours, we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours
London office/hybrid - split between home and a minimum of 1 day a week in our London office
Travel to corporate partners, events, and meetings required, with occasional stays away from home.
Salary Range: £48,000 - £53,000

About the role
In this role you will manage and develop a high performing team to deliver ambitious and innovative plans for your portfolio of partnerships. You will lead on strategy and proposition development, securing the maximum value for Macmillan in line with Macmillan’s agreed organisational strategy and objectives. You will lead on partnership growth opportunities across your team, influencing and stewarding key decision makers to enable long-term commitments across the portfolio.
You will be motivated to secure and drive incremental income for Macmillan and be responsible for a portfolio of brilliant partners worth between £3-4m. It is your duty to maintain that level of income with a focus on growing it and securing key renewals.
You will use your initiative to seek out new opportunities and will passionately represent the Macmillan brand to help create long term strategic partnerships. You will coach and lead your team to develop the best partnerships in the sector.
You will work cross-organisationally drawing on skills and knowledge across teams so it’s essential that you also demonstrate the leadership, team-working, communication and influencing skills that will extract the greatest value from the relationships you build both inside Macmillan and with partners.
About you
You are a passionate and driven individual with these skills, strengths and knowledge:
- Excellent relationship development skills
- Experience in public speaking, presenting and addressing large meetings, small groups or individual VIP’s
- Comfortable and proficient in writing proposals and presentations
- High attention to detail and consistent delivery on promises
- Self-motivated: able to work alone as well as in a team
- A good understanding of the principles of brand, marketing and comms (PR, Social etc.)
- Capable of telling a story to stakeholders of all levels – be it emotive, captivating etc.
- Experience in corporate fundraising or commercial sectors managing a portfolio of client relationships yielding significant value, i.e. £1 million plus
- Experience of creating innovative solutions to client needs
- Ability to deal with board level stakeholders in organisations
- Evidence of successful income performance against budgets
