About the role
As our Senior Marketing Planning Manager you will be responsible for proposing improvements to, and delivering our annual Marketing and Communications Planning. Working closely with the different Marketing and Comms teams across the Engagement directorate
Part of a Strategic Engagement planning department you’ll lead projects and areas of work to ensure marketing and engagement activities across Macmillan are sequenced, integrated and prioritised to achieve our objectives. You’ll ensure decisions are informed by insight, and the outputs of those decisions are evaluated and optimised to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Here's what you will be getting up to:
- Lead integrated marketing and comms projects, working in collaboration with colleagues across Macmillan
- Lead an internal squad to develop and implement improvements to annual planning
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and departments to deliver excellent, shared Marketing and Communications planning
- Work with other Senior Managers in the team to ensure we have the right data and insight to measure impact and drive continual improvement in our work
- Line manage the Engagement Planning Manager
About you:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience applying complex research findings and data to actionable insights
- Significant experience of people and team management
- Experience working with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, with different needs and priorities
- Significant understanding of the full marketing mix across multiple channels and paid, owned and earned, and how to manage a complex portfolio of marketing and communications
- Managed a multi-million pound marketing budget with an external agency
- Significant experience of working as a strategic partner to support excellent decision making that considers impact on the full range of stakeholders
