About us
At Macmillan you'll find talented people working together to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We're going all out to find even better ways to help even more people who need our support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.

About the role

Are you an experienced analyst who can translate questions on people living with cancer into high quality, robust data projects for a wide range of stakeholders? If so, we want to hear from you.

In this role you will work with published cancer data and analysis, Macmillan databases, survey data and analysis produced in partnership with external organisations to generate new insights into the population of people living with cancer.  To do this you will design and lead on statistical analyses, write reports, create data visualisations and brief audiences in ways that make the complex easy to understand.  You will need to develop and maintain excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders.  This will allow your insights to feed into Macmillan strategic decisions as well as shaping Macmillan external voice though media, conference presentations and publications.

More details on the role and requirements can be found in the full role profile.

About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Designing, managing and delivering high quality innovative robust analysis
  • Stakeholder management to ensure your work has impact to multiple audiences
  • Knowledge of national routine health data especially in relation to cancer
  • Proficient in Excel, R and Power BI desirable

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
  • Pension matched up to 7.5%
  • 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
  • Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
  • Holiday buying and selling scheme, life insurance, free wills, retail discounts and much more

Recruitment Process
The application closing date is Sunday, January 5th at 11:59pm, with an assessment task on Monday 13th January followed by if successful a virtual interview planned to take place on Monday 27th January.
