Location: Split between home and our London Office  
Salary Range £64,000 - £70,000

About the role
In this role you will work in our Product team, looking after the products, platforms and tools used across Macmillan. This role will be responsible for working in partnership with colleagues from across the wider organisation and with external partners to develop and improve our products, platforms and tools in order to solve problems or achieve business outcomes. 

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a product vision and roadmap for a product or group of products, working closely with colleagues across Macmillan to explore problems and solutions that deliver value to users and help us achieve our mission. 
  • Working closely with both internal engineering squads and external supplier teams to deliver against the roadmap, taking responsibility for prioritisation, refinement, and planning. 
  • Building great relationships with colleagues across Macmillan to understand their ambitions and the problems they are trying to solve, as well as managing expectations around priorities and capacity. 

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • You will be curious and collaborative, and enjoy working with others to really dig into a problem and understand it from different perspectives, before exploring and testing different solutions to find one that delivers the right outcomes and value. 
  • You understand agile and lean approaches and can give examples of where you have put them into practice. You are pragmatic and understand that where flexibility may be needed to get the right results.  
  • You can balance user needs, business requirements and technical constraints. You can translate those user needs into detailed user stories ready for development with clearly defined acceptance criteria.    
  • You have experience working as in multidisciplinary teams to design and build technology products, platforms or services. 
  • You can use qualitative and quantitative data and evidence to support prioritisation and investment asks.
