About us
The Richmond Group of Charities is a coalition of 14 leading national health and care charities, working together to help people living with long-term multiple or complex health needs to live well and thrive. We work together as a collective voice to better influence health and social care policy and practice, with the aim of improving the care and support for the 15 million people living with long-term conditions we represent. We are hosted by Macmillan Cancer Support.
About the role
In this role you will support the Richmond Group policy and influencing work, conducting research and insights into relevant issues. You will be comfortable writing concise and impactful policy briefings, drafting and coordinating responses to inquiries and supporting the development of policy recommendations.
You will also support collaboration across the Richmond Group networks, engaging and building effective relationships with colleagues from across the charities and representing the Richmond Group with external stakeholders.
This role is also key in the effective administration of the Group secretariat and the Richmond Group CEO, including diary management, network meetings, minuting and recording actions. This would include updating the Richmond Group website, the coalition’s social media accounts and social media strategy.
About you
Please highlight in your application how you meet the following criteria:
- Ability to apply robust evidence to analysis and influencing, drawing on a wide range of sources (including statistics, external research and people’s views and experiences).
- Experience of coordinating or managing projects and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience of organising events and/or workshops.
- Experience of taking minutes and writing briefings.
- Familiarity with digital communication including social media.
