Are you an experienced MI leader who can turn complex data into powerful insights? Do you thrive on building high‑performing teams and developing reporting that drives strategic and operational decision‑making?

We’re looking for an Operations Management Information Manager to lead a team in the development of reporting and dashboards that help transform how we support people living with cancer.

About us

At Macmillan you'll find talented people working together to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We're going all out to find even better ways to help even more people who need our support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.

Our new organisational strategy sets out how we’ll fight even harder to make every pound raised count for even more. With your help, we’ll transform cancer care for good.

About the role

You will lead a high-performing MI team responsible for producing accurate, timely and meaningful reporting across the Services Division. You will oversee the production of our  operational reporting and performance insights that inform decisions across the Macmillan Support Line and related service capabilities, and lead the team to transition our reporting onto PowerBI.

Working closely with the Resource and Delivery Service Manager, Resource Managers and our corporate Insight and Data teams, you will combine multiple data sources — including service quality, performance, customer experience and reach — to help provide a balanced scorecard view of service performance. You will modernise reporting platforms, ensure data governance and GDPR compliance, and build strong internal partnerships with operational leaders, technology teams and analysts across the organisation.

This role also carries important people‑leadership responsibilities, ensuring your team is supported and empowered. You’ll champion data literacy, best practice, innovation and continuous improvement across the MI function.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop your team.
  • Oversee the delivery of all operational reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure MI outputs integrate data from multiple sources (quality, performance, customer reach, workforce) to provide clear insight.
  • Work with Resource Managers to help set service KPIs aligned to strategic and operational goals.
  • Work with Insight & Performance to ensure a joined-up understanding of performance and data.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Systems Team and operational managers to support performance, quality and service improvements.
  • Lead on the development of reports and dashboards that provide insight into service performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Build a high‑performing, data‑literate team with strong analytical capability and confidence in using data tools.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience leading or managing a team.
  • Proven experience in MI, data or performance reporting roles.
  • Strong understanding of call centre data and service information.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Experience producing operational or performance reports for diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of confidence using data platforms, reporting tools and multiple data sources.
  • Experience improving or transforming MI functions or reporting frameworks.
  • Strong Power BI capability (reports, dashboards, visualisations).
  • Experience with other data tools (e.g. SQL, data warehouses, cloud data platforms).

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day each year of service up to 30 days
  • Pension matched up to 7.5%
  • 120+ learning and development offers, including access to professional qualifications
  • Holiday buying and selling scheme, life insurance, free wills, retail discounts and much more
