About this role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced marketing manager to join the volunteering department. To be successful, you will have strong communication and marketing experience alongside an understanding of how volunteers give their time, energy and experience to support people living with cancer. In the role, you'll be part of the volunteering support team delivering safe, effective, and rewarding volunteering across Macmillan. You will also work closely with colleagues across support retention, brand, marketing and comms ensuring our volunteers have the information they need to deliver impactful interactions for people living with cancer on a daily basis. 
You will be joining the Volunteering Support team who are responsible for building the infrastructure to deliver the best end to end journey for our volunteers. Through business partnering and operational support you will help deliver the key communications that ensures volunteers feel well-supported, volunteer managers are confident, and volunteering delivers Macmillan’s strategy.You will be managing our existing communications portfolio, delivering acquisition marketing and learning from data and insight to improve our engagement levels. You will also have an opportunity to help define and build our volunteering tone of voice and proposition ensuring it is fit for purpose and developed based on organisational direction and growth areas. 

We are seeking an individual with a wide breath of marketing experience and knowledge or experience of working with volunteers.

About you
We are looking for someone with a strong marketing background preferable in the volunteering or customer engagement space. You will have technical skills and experience of delivering engaging communications as well as any relevant legislation. You maintain an interest in the latest marketing developments and innovations and have your eye on what’s coming next. Above all, you are a team player, with a passion for delivering a quality service to your customers and end users. You pride yourself on being professional, approachable, and supportive and are committed to developing both yourself and your teammates.
