Fixed Term Contract (6 months)  
Full time (34.5 hours), we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours 
Location: Split between home and our London Office  
Salary Range: £26,000 - £29,000 London, Shipley (regional) or national remote  benefits and recognition

About the role:

We are looking for an organised, detail‑driven Internal Communications and Engagement Coordinator to help deliver clear, engaging and inclusive communications that inspire colleagues across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in keeping our internal channels running smoothly and ensuring colleagues feel informed, connected and part of our mission to support people living with cancer.

In this role, you’ll provide essential logistical and administrative support for internal communications activity, help review and audit our digital channels, and support the creation and maintenance of content across our intranet, newsletters and other platforms. You’ll manage the Internal Communications mailbox and calendar, proof‑read and quality‑check content, gather performance data, and build strong relationships across Macmillan to source stories and updates that bring our strategy to life.

You’ll also support directorate engagement activity, act as an audience consultant for change communications, and help ensure our content is accessible, inclusive and aligned with our brand.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Strong computer literacy, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident editing and proof‑reading abilities

  • Strong organisational and diary‑management skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • A passion for making a difference for people living with cancer

  • (Desirable) Experience in internal communications, employee engagement or content creation

  • (Desirable) Skills in evaluation, analysis and channel development

  • (Desirable) Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, changing environment
