About us

At Macmillan, we're here to do whatever it takes for people living with cancer. That means supporting millions of people with practical, emotional and financial support, while working to improve cancer care and tackle the inequalities that exist across society.

Creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong is fundamental to achieving that mission. That's why we're looking for an organised, collaborative and passionate Inclusion & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a career in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), project coordination or organisational culture, while making a genuine difference every day.

About the role

As our Inclusion & Culture Coordinator, you'll play a central role in helping bring our inclusion strategy to life.

You'll work across Macmillan to connect people, projects and priorities, ensuring our inclusion activity is coordinated, visible and joined up. From supporting colleague networks and awareness campaigns to coordinating external partnerships and benchmarking activity, you'll help ensure our work has maximum impact and avoids duplication.

You'll be someone who enjoys bringing structure to busy programmes of work, keeping multiple priorities moving, and building great relationships across different teams.

No two days will be the same, but you'll always be helping colleagues work together to create a more inclusive Macmillan.

What you'll be doing

You'll:

  • Coordinate the delivery of Macmillan's Inclusion & Culture strategy across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintain oversight of inclusion activity across the organisation, helping teams connect their work and identify opportunities to collaborate.
  • Support employee networks, Our Voice activity, inclusion campaigns and cultural events.
  • Coordinate meetings, project plans, actions and reporting for key programmes.
  • Help manage external partnerships and benchmarking activity, including recognised inclusion frameworks.
  • Prepare presentations, briefings and communications for colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Inclusion & Culture team, including inbox management, administration and shared workspaces.
  • Help evaluate the impact of our work by gathering feedback, tracking progress and maintaining accurate project information.

About you

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and genuinely passionate about creating inclusive workplaces.

You'll likely have experience in a coordination, administration or project support role—whether through employment, internships, placements or volunteering—and enjoy bringing order to complex programmes of work.

You'll also have:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence building relationships across different teams.
  • A genuine interest in equity, diversity and inclusion, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration or project management tools such as SharePoint, Notion, Asana or similar.
  • Experience supporting events, communications or internal projects would be an advantage.

Why join Macmillan?

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in Inclusion & Culture within one of the UK's leading charities.

You'll join a supportive, ambitious team committed to creating meaningful change across the organisation. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, work on high-profile strategic initiatives and help shape a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive.

Most importantly, the work you do will help create a more inclusive Macmillan—benefiting our colleagues, volunteers and ultimately the people living with cancer that we exist to support.

If you're organised, curious, people-focused and passionate about inclusion, we'd love to hear from you.
