About the team

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious High Value Stewardship & Operations team, part of the newly formed Partnerships Directorate, which is dedicated to building impactful, long-term relationships with philanthropists, corporate partners, and healthcare professionals.

You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing high value supporters into the heart of Macmillan, unlocking significant support to help tackle some of the most complex challenges facing people living with cancer, and the wider cancer care system.

About the role

Are you a strategic and detail-oriented professional ready to deliver exceptional funding propositions and impact reporting for high value supporters? 

We are seeking an experienced High Value Funding Development Manager to provide exceptional case for support content for Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy audiences. You will work with colleagues to develop compelling propositions that inspire high value donors to support Macmillan’s work, as well as inspiring impact reporting that demonstrates the difference they are making to people living with cancer.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to identify and produce a range of compelling case for support materials, from overarching narrative content to detailed funding propositions for core areas of Macmillan’s work, as well as developing bespoke funding propositions for our highest value funding opportunities, and ensuring funds are spent in line with donors’ wishes and delivering maximum impact.  


Key responsibilities:

  • Producing a range of compelling case for support materials for Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy fundraisers
  • Developing bespoke funding proposals and pitches for the highest value funding opportunities
  • Connecting high value fundraisers to the most exciting developments and impactful stories across the organisation
  • Producing impact reporting resources that demonstrate the difference high value supporters are making to Macmillan’s work.

About you 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to adapt and translate communications effectively to suit a range of supporters
  • Ability to understand Macmillan’s wide range of services and work, ask the right questions and translate complexity into compelling funding propositions that non-subject matter experts can understand
  • Ability to produce case for support content that is professional and engaging
  • Strong partnering skills and ability to understand the needs of colleagues and supporters
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver solutions
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, and ability to coordinate and manage multiple complex workstreams, identifying and mitigating risks as needed
