About the Role

We are looking for a talented marketing leader to head up our Strategic engagement Planning Team.

The role will be response for supporting the development our overarching marketing and engagement strategy. This will run across all our mass audiences, including people with cancer, fundraisers, campaigners and volunteers. The role will work with marketing colleagues across the directorate to ensure our activity is sequenced, planned and aligned to best meet objectives. It will include building marketing capability (especially digital), putting in place the processes and plans to enable us to succeed, measuring effectiveness and management of our relationship with our media partner.

It is incredibly exciting time to join Macmillan as we launch a new Charitable Strategy, and this role will be pivotal for ensuring its successful implementation.

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Strategic marketing/Engagement planning experience ideally across multiple channels and disciplines  
  • Significant experience of briefing complex insight work and working with data and analytics to turn information into insight and insight into recommendations  
  • Demonstrable experience building and managing relationships with a range of senior stakeholders, delivering exceptional communication throughout  
  • Experience of leading complex strategic engagement/ marketing projects or activities  
  • Experience leading a team  
  • Experience of successfully working with and managing marketing partners and vendors.  
  • Experience of developing and leading the implementation of a marketing and engagement strategy 
  • Expert knowledge of the marketing landscape and trends, including fundraising regulation.
