About us:
At Macmillan you'll find talented people working together to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We're going all out to find even better ways to help even more people who need our support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.

About the role:

The Head of Product (Fundraising) is responsible for developing and delivering against a product vision and strategy for Macmillan’s portfolio of fundraising technology products and platforms. You'll be responsible for championing a product mindset across Macmillan, ensuring that value, desirability, viability and feasibility are considered when making decisions about how we identify, hypothesise, test and solve problems with technology and data. You’ll join the Technology Leadership Team and will lead and coach a growing team of Product Managers and other specialists responsible for the design and development of a complex portfolio of technology products that people use to give their money, time and voice to help Macmillan, and ultimately to support people living with cancer.

Here's what you’ll be getting up to:

  • Lead and line manage a growing team of product managers and related specialists
  • Continue to evolve a product vision and strategy for Fundraising technology products and platforms (including web, customer relationship management and customer data platforms), and maintain a roadmap (reviewed quarterly) to help communicate current priorities with wider stakeholders.
  • Establish and embed multidisciplinary teams to deliver against our priorities, using a blend of in-house and external engineering expertise to support.
  • Take responsibility for a complex portfolio of product and platforms at varying stages of the product lifecycle.

About you:

  • You’ll have experience of leading a high-performing product function to deliver at pace within a transforming organisation.
  • You've been accountable for a complex and interdependent product portfolio and give examples of where you’ve delivered business outcomes as well as improved user experiences, as well as some of the technical challenges you’ve faced along the way.
  • You’ll be curious and collaborative, able to listen as well as influence and persuade – comfortable respectfully asking difficult questions and working in partnership with teams across Macmillan to achieve the best outcomes.
