About the role
To design and mobilise a national partnerships programme that delivers new and innovative multi-sectoral transformational partnerships and at-scale changes to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing people with cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a new national partnerships function at Macmillan to lay the groundwork for Macmillan to revolutionise how we partner to achieve impact.
- Work collaboratively with teams across Macmillan to establish an organisation-wide integrated approach and framework to how we identify and respond to strategic, national partnership opportunities.
- Work collaboratively to identify early opportunities to take us from strategy to action, building a pipeline to grow new activities and partnerships.
- Position Macmillan as a partner of choice across the cancer care and wider healthcare ecosystem.
- Develop Macmillan’s capabilities in national partnership, building and developing the skills and capabilities of team members and wider colleagues across the organisation through training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop, test and implement Macmillan’s governance for transformational partnerships, identifying how we form, work within, around or with partners, assess success, evolve and exit partnerships.
About you
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Track record in designing and mobilising a partnerships function or portfolio at deliver at scale national changes and systemic impact.
- Visionary leadership that inspires and motivates partners towards collective action.
- Proven expertise in systems thinking, understanding how various elements within the healthcare system interact and affect one another, one another, and applying that to the development of partnership propositions.
- Experience in encouraging and implementing innovative approaches and solutions to address complex challenges.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing environments, policies, and emerging needs
