At Macmillan Cancer Support, we’re here to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Editorial Lead to join our Cancer Information Development (CID) team and help shape the future of our information offer.
✨ About the Role
As Editorial Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our cancer information strategy—developing and managing our publication schedule, leading editorial capabilities, and ensuring our content is accurate, inclusive, and impactful. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality support materials for people living with cancer and those close to them.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the development and revision of cancer information content across print and digital formats.
- Ensuring all content meets editorial standards, including readability, tone of voice, and accessibility.
- Collaborating with teams across Macmillan—from UX and SEO to Brand and Communications—to align content with organisational goals.
- Using your expertise to improve editorial processes and drive innovation in how we support our audiences.
- Leading a talented editorial team and championing Macmillan’s 8 commitments to line management.
👤 About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience developing cancer or health-related information across formats.
- Is confident managing editorial schedules and motivating teams.
- Has excellent editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Can handle complex health information with clarity and empathy.
- Understands good design and can resolve layout issues effectively.
