Salary range: National £40,000 - £45,000, London £43,500 - £48,500
About the role
You will be responsible for the specialist knowledge needs and training of the Macmillan Cancer Information Nurse Specialist team, ensuring people living with cancer receive accurate information, guidance, and support via a fully informed front line work force.
You will be adept at translating complex, detailed clinical and social care information into clear, accessible knowledge resources for the Macmillan Support Line (MSL) Cancer Information Nurse Specialist team.
About you
This role requires candidates to have demonstrable experience of operating in a very similar or comparable role.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Detailed understanding of the standards of conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwives (Nursing and Midwifery Council, 2018)
- Significant experience as a first level registered nurse, preferably in a cancer specialty or in another relevant setting, and currently on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register
- Either Degree in Nursing or equivalent relevant post registration qualification
- Experience of creating and delivering specialist knowledge/ content to a high standard
- Experience of using data and analytics to measure impact and performance
