- Lead event planning and logistics, ensuring our presence at events delivers a brilliant experience for participants, volunteers and colleagues. This will include developing detailed event plans and risk assessments, coordinating briefings and ensuring all relevant health and safety requirements are met.
- Manage external suppliers, event organisers and agencies, ensuring they deliver against agreed briefs, timescales and performance standards.
- Manage and inspire one Challenge Events Assistant to a high level of performance, adhering to line management processes and overseeing development.

- Use data and insight to improve performance, identifying opportunities to optimise campaigns, improve supporter experiences and maximise income.
- Represent Macmillan at events, which may include weekend working, travelling and spending time away from home. You’ll also support the management of staff and groups of volunteers and, when required, help with practical event preparation such as packing equipment.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who combines excellent organisation and project management skills with a strong understanding of marketing, supporter engagement and event delivery.
You’ll bring:
- Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering multi-channel marketing and large-scale stewardship campaigns.
