Our organisational strategy sets out how we’ll fight even harder to make every pound raised count for even more. With your help, we’ll transform cancer care for good.
About the role
In this rewarding role you’ll support delivery of our Professional Engagement plan so Macmillan Professionals are supported to ensure they have the right tools, skills, support and resources to deliver high-quality personalised care experiences for people living with cancer.
You will support, lead and deliver defined parts of the Professional Engagement plan, including events, partner engagement activities, conferences and delivery of professional resources and webinars.
Having an oversight of a large group of professionals, it will be important to prioritise and plan your workload, working to targets and objectives to deliver agreed outcomes.
You will use your data management, analysis, and reporting skills to help demonstrate the impact of our professional engagement work and team.
Relationship building and management is key to this role. You will support Macmillan Professionals with all of their needs, while also developing new relationships with the wider workforce and work collaboratively with the senior leadership team, your other team colleagues, external partners, and other key stakeholders, to deliver local priorities and ultimately deliver the absolute best person-centred care for people living with cancer.
About you
We recognise that relationship-building, planning and analytical skills can be gained in many different environments. You may have developed these skills through paid employment, volunteering, community leadership, education, or other life experiences.
If you can demonstrate most of the skills below, we'd encourage you to apply, even if your experience doesn't match every aspect of the role.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with a range of people and work collaboratively towards shared goals.
- Ability to gather, interpret and present information or data to demonstrate outcomes, impact or progress.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks while delivering to agreed deadlines.
- Confidence using digital tools and systems to manage information, communicate effectively and support delivery of work (e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM systems).

In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
- 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
- Pension matched up to 7.5%
- 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
- Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
