We're looking for two ambitious Corporate Business Development Managers to join our Corporate Business Development Team to develop and secure strategic corporate partnerships with some of the UK's biggest and most loved brands.
About us
At Macmillan you'll find talented people working together to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We're going all out to find even better ways to help even more people who need our support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.
Our new organisational strategy sets out how we’ll fight even harder to make every pound raised count for even more. With your help, we’ll transform cancer care for good.
About the role
You will personally lead on securing corporate partnerships to raise significant funds, build awareness and provide support for people living with cancer.
You will be proactive in building a high-quality pipeline of prospects and qualifying opportunities into income and measurable added value to contribute to Macmillan’s strategic objectives.
You will create compelling, tailored propositions that clearly communicate Macmillan’s key fundraising products, campaigns, assets and activations to a corporate audience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines commercial acumen with a passion for creating meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and secure large-scale, high-value corporate partnerships that deliver significant impact and income.
- Develop compelling value propositions aligned to both Macmillan's and the Partner’s strategic objectives.
- Ensure effective pipeline management, prioritising opportunities that deliver the best return on investment, with the greatest strategic and financial value.
- Deliver on objectives and meet financial targets
- Use data and insight to inform decision-making and maximise performance.
- Collaborate with teams across Macmillan to develop innovative partnership opportunities and deliver exceptional partner experiences.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the corporate partnerships landscape.
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience securing large-scale, long-term partnerships (desirable £250k+ per annum) in either the charity or commercial sector
- A commercial mindset with the ambition, resilience and creativity to identify and win new opportunities
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of delivering cross-organisational projects and partnerships which deliver on shared objectives
- A track record of innovating and developing compelling partner propositions
- The ability to prioritise and collaborate effectively to maximise value and impact
- Experience using data and insight to support ideas
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- A passionate drive to achieve Macmillan’s mission and objectives
In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
- 25 days holiday plus flexible bank holiday options, increasing by 1 day every year of service up to 30 days
- Pension matched up to 7.5%
- 120+ learning and development offers, with access to external professional qualifications
- Flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm
