    I have had various Cancer experiences within my family. I lost my dad when I was 10. My brother had Stage 3 cancer through 2019, we nearly lost him as well.

    That triggered a re-alignment of my own values and where I wanted to go in my life.

    I have always been fortunate to have worked in roles which impact people’s lives. Working in L&D at Macmillan gave me the opportunity to direct impact the lives of those who engaged with any of our learning interventions and then be better equipped to support those effected by cancer.

    I think I always knew I wanted to work in the third sector but it was a roundabout way to get here. 

    I worked in Tech before, had enough of that and decided to pursue my dream. I quit my job and this role at Macmillan came up and it felt like fate.

    As I was applying for jobs, I saw the Macmillan name and it’s such a well-known charity that does incredible work for people affected by Cancer. I’ve lost a couple of people in my life from Cancer so I thought it would be perfect for me.
